How to play
One person creates a room. Everyone else joins on their own phone with the code or QR. Cards appear on every phone at once, everyone answers, and the results pop up for the whole room. That's it.
- Create a room. Pick a deck, type your name. You're the host.
- Invite the group. They scan the QR code on your phone or open your link. No app, no account.
- Optional: put it on the TV. Open /r/your-code/tv on a laptop or smart TV for a big-screen view.
- Start. Answer each card before the timer runs out. The host deals the next one.

A question about the group appears. Everyone secretly votes for the person it describes best, yourself included.
Points: +100 if you voted for whoever got the most votes, plus your streak bonus.

Two options. Pick one. Then see how the room split and who sided with you.
Points: +100 if you picked what most people picked. An exact tie gives everyone +50.

A statement appears. Tap “I have” or “Never”. The results show who has.
Points: +50 for answering. Honesty is between you and your friends.

The game puts one player on the spot. They choose truth or dare and do it; everyone else votes on whether it counts.
Points: +150 for a truth or +200 for a dare if the room says you did it. Voters get +25.

Agree with the group several cards in a row and you build a streak: every card in a row adds a bonus of up to +100. At the end the game hands out awards: Champion, Hive Mind, The Rebel, Most Accused, Fearless, Open Book and, sadly, Chicken.
Make it your night
The host sets the room up before the first card, and can change it between games:
- Game length. 10, 15, 25 or 40 cards, or the whole deck, with 20 to 45 seconds per card or no time limit.
- Same room or video call. Playing over a call? Switch off “Everyone in the same room” and truth or dare becomes truth only, since dares need you there.
- Fresh cards every game. Every game is shuffled, and when you play again it deals cards your group hasn’t seen yet before repeating any.
- Sri Lankan or Global edition. Sri Lankan brings in island memories like kottu runs, O/Ls and baila. Global swaps each one for a card anyone gets.
- Out & about. Playing at a restaurant, café or the beach? Spicy Edition and Couples Only have dares for out in public. Be kind, read the room, skip anyone who’s busy.
- Flirty mode. Couples Only can turn up the teasing. Still nothing you couldn’t do at a family wedding.
- Lock the room. Once everyone’s in, nobody new can join.
Drinking mode (optional)
Every deck and Omi has a drinking mode the host can switch on. After each card the game suggests who takes a sip: the most-voted player, whoever picked the less popular option, everyone who says “I have”, or whoever the room says didn’t do their truth or dare. It is only a suggestion: whether you drink, and what you drink, is always your own choice and your own responsibility. Water counts. Every game works exactly the same without it.
When the game ends, drinking mode calls one for the road: last place gives a toast to the champion, and everyone raises whatever they’re holding. Heading home? Get there safe. Already home? Then the hard part’s done.

- Is it free?
- Yes. The Party Starter deck is free forever and you never need an account to play. Extra packs are a one-time payment, not a subscription.
- How many people can play?
- From 2 up to 16 players in one room. It is best with 4 to 10. Couples Only is made for exactly two, and Omi is four (bots can fill empty seats).
- Will we get the same cards every time?
- No. Every game is shuffled, and when you play again in the same room it deals cards you haven’t seen yet before repeating any.
- Do my friends need to download an app?
- No. Everything runs in the phone browser. They scan your QR code or tap your link and type a name.
- Do we need to be in the same place?
- No. It is made for the same room, but it works on a video call too: share the link, and switch off “Everyone in the same room” so truth or dare becomes truth only.
- Can strangers join our room?
- Only people with your 6-letter code or link can get in. As the host you see a notice every time someone joins, you can remove anyone with one tap, and once your group is in you can lock the room so nobody new can join.
- What happens to our answers?
- Rooms, names and answers are deleted automatically 12 hours after the room is made. Players never need an account, so there is nothing else to keep.
- What happens if my phone locks or I refresh?
- You stay in the game. Open the room again and you are right back where you were.
- Is there anything explicit in the cards?
- No. The cards are cheeky and a bit savage, made for friends aged 18 and over, but never explicit.
