Bachelorette party games

The best bachelorette party games are dares and truths built around the bride: quick to explain, funny to watch and fine to do at home or out on the town. Here are 30, and you can play them on everyone’s phone so the game picks who’s on the spot.

How to play

  1. Make a room. One person makes a room and picks a deck. Everyone else joins on their phone with the code or QR, no app.
  2. The game picks who’s up. Each card lands on every phone at once and puts someone on the spot. The squad votes on whether it counts.
  3. Spill it or sip. With drinking mode on (everyone 18 or older), dodge a truth or a dare with a sip instead. Water counts.

Dares for the squad

  1. Give the bride a pep talk like she’s about to walk into a boxing ring.
  2. Do the bride’s signature dance move until someone guesses whose it is.
  3. Act out the moment the couple met, playing both of them.
  4. Send the bride’s partner one compliment about her, then read the reply out loud.
  5. Swap one accessory with the person on your right for the rest of the night.
  6. Walk to the door and back like it’s your wedding entrance. Music optional, attitude required.
  7. Narrate the bride getting ready in the morning like a nature documentary.
  8. Give a 20-second speech for the bride using only song titles.
  9. Teach the squad a dance for the wedding in 30 seconds. They have to do it.
  10. Do your best impression of the bride telling a story she has told a hundred times.
  11. Ask a stranger for one piece of marriage advice for the bride. Ask nicely, skip anyone busy.
  12. Recreate the bride’s most iconic old profile picture, pose and all.
  13. Get down on one knee and sing the first line of a love song to the bride.
  14. Make a 10-second wedding vow on behalf of the bride’s partner.
  15. Show the squad the oldest photo of you and the bride on your phone, and tell the story behind it.

Questions people ask

What games do you play at a bachelorette party?
Dares, truths and never have I ever built around the bride work best: they need no setup and everyone can join in. Face-offs, where two of the squad go head to head and the rest judge, keep the energy up between dares.
Is there a bachelorette game we can play on our phones?
Yes. Drunken Penguins has a Bachelorette pack: 100 cards, mostly dares, with two levels (Maid of Honour and Maid of Dishonour) and dares for at home or out on the town. One person buys it, everyone else joins free with a code.
Do we have to drink?
No. The Bachelorette pack starts with drinking mode on, for squads where everyone is 18 or older, and the host can switch it off. Every card works the same without it. Drinking is always optional. Whether you drink, and what you drink, is always your own choice and your own responsibility. Water counts.
Are the dares okay to do in public?
Yes. Out-and-about dares are kind to strangers and staff: always ask first, and skip anyone who’s busy. Nothing dangerous, nothing that costs money.
